ALSPACH, WALTON WIN WALL SUNDAY SERIES TURKEY DERBY
Nine Others Score Calabreeze/Van Wickle/Hawk's Feature Wins

WALL TWP., N.J. -- Trevor Alspach, of, Willingboro, and Bobby Walton, of, Tuckerton, and nine other drivers became the first Calabreeze Pools/Van Wickle NAPA/Hawk's Towing Sunday Series Turkey Derby winners here at Wall Township Speedway today.

Alspach and brother Zack made the Calabreeze Pools Legends Cars division a family affair, splitting the two 10 lap heats and running one-two the last 11 of the 20-lap feature. The victory is the Yeatts Racing No. 76 600 Racing-Yamaha pilot's second. Karl Heisler took third to the despite spinning after starter George Clayton's checkered flag.

Walton came from eighth starting spot to oust Greg Ostrander on lap nine of the Van Wickle NAPA Auto Supply Bandolero main. The Bass Pro Shops 600 Racing-Briggs & Stratton No. 1 pilot held off Ostrander and Ken Van Wickle the last six laps. Robert Vassilatos, Jr., who won the heat, finished fifth. Pole sitter Brian Hawkins suffered a broken axle and bowed on lap five. Hawkins and the derby's trophies were sponsored by Hawk's Towing and Recovery, of Trenton.

Wall has three dates remaining on its Saturday stock car schedule, starting with Turkey Derby XXXIV practice 10 a.m. Saturday, November 17th. The Turkey Derby XXXIV classic for Open Tour Type and Wall/SK/B/SST Modifieds, Sportsman, INEX Legends, RMP Modified Affordable Division, Street Stocks, Keenan Motors American Three Quarter Midget Racing Association and Value Towing Factory Stocks is set for Nov. 23-24.
