FIRST TIMER ALSPACH SCORES WALL SUNDAY DOUBLE
Metzler, J. Hiddemen Also Snare First career WTS Features

WALL TWP., N.J. -- Zach Alspach, of Willingboro, N.J., made his first Wall Township Speedway visit pay off by wining both Calabreeze Pools Legends Cars features here Sunday. Alspach, who usually races in Virginia and North Carolina, bested Ryan Truex, Jr. in the first 20-lap feature and went on to topp Derek Hopkinson in the nightcap. The No. 67 600 Racing-Yamaha driver also split the 10-lap heats with Hopkinson on WTS's flat one-fifth-mile inner oval.

Jeanne Hiddeman, of Southampton, Pa., won her first 20-lap controlled micro stock feature over Mike Grodzicki. Mike Mee, of E. Brunswick, won the heat and second feature. The Aug. 19 rainout prompted WTS officials to double up features Sunday afternoon.

Albert Metzler, of Califon, made up for missing the first feature and heat by winning the second Junior Briggs & Stratton Blue Restriction Plate main over initial winner Devon Sixt, of Hillsborough. D.J. Doyle, of Middletown, won the heat.

Randy Sixt, of Hillsborough, also doubled up on the Jr. B&S Gold Plate mains as did Kirk Allen, of Columbia, in the Senior B&S Heavy class. Those sweeping all three divisional races included: V. J. Varano, Ringoes (Jr. Champ Kart) and Kurt Labor, Jr., of Neptune (Sr. B&S Light).

James Haddow, of Little Silver, and Ken Van Wickle, of Manasquan, split the Van Wickle Auto Supply NAPA Bandolero features. Denny Hiddleman, of Southampton, Pa., and Nick Cottone, of Toms River, shared the Modified Micro Stock mains. Jon Stewart, of Flemington, and Kevin Smith, of Hamilton, shred the Sr. Champ Kart laurels.
