HOPKINSON, HADDOW TOP WALL SUNDAY SERIES WINNERS

WALL TWP., N.J. -- Derek Hopkinson, of Toms River, and James Haddow, of Little Silver, were among eight Wall Township Speedway Calabreeze Pools/Van Wickle Auto Supply NAPA Sunday Series feature winners.

Hopkinson came from 11th place to win his second WSS Calabreeze Pools Legends Cars feature. The N&P Racing 600 racing-Yamaha No. 17 driver advanced to third while Karl Keisler ousted initial leader Jason Forrester on lap four. Hopkinson dove inside of Heisler in turn four on lap 10 and held him off the remaining 10 laps. Joey Mattis, Danielle Ostrander and WTS rookie Jimmy Heavalow rounded out the top five of 11 finishers. Hopkinson and Heavalow also split the two 10-lap heats on WTS's one-fifth-mile inner oval.

Haddow, who won the WSS Van Wickle NAPA Bandolero season opener, came from eighth place to oust Robby Walton on the opening lap. The Joseph E. Creamer Construction 600 Racing-Briggs and Stratton Vanguard No. 10 driver held off Ken Van Wickle all 15 laps with Gregg Ostrander third. Haddow also won the 10-lap heat.
