WALL STADIUM “SUNDAY SERIES” TO OFFER RACE CAR RIDES

ON “PROMOTIONAL DAY” ON MARCH 28

WALL TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ Auto racing enthusiasts who have always wanted to drive a racecar will get their chance when the Wall Stadium “Sunday Series” offers a “Promotional Day” on Sunday, March 28. The “Promotional Day” is in preparation for the 2010 season which will begin in April and continue through October.

“Everyone who has been involved with this series is thrilled that we are able to come back for 2010,” Sunday Series Race Director Alan Brenner says. “There is a lot of enthusiasm from the competitors and the fans. I really think it will be a great season and I think the turnout for Promotional Day will also be impressive.”

During the March 28 “Promotional Day” activities, people who have an interest in competing in the “Sunday Series” will get the opportunity to be instructed how to drive a racecar and then will get five laps of driving around the fifth mile paved “inner oval.” Participants must be at least 14 years of age and have driving experience to drive a TQ Midget and must be six years old and up to drive a racing Kart on “Promotional Day.” Both the race car and the driver’s safety equipment will be provided for a small fee. Registration is a must to drive a racecar on Promotional Day.

For the “big track” auto racers and their fans tentative plans call for March 20 and 27 paid practice sessions on the third mile paved oval before races are presented on several Saturday nights starting April 3. Several racing events will then be presented on Saturday nights during the summer months before the annual Turkey Derby caps off the season.

In addition to the auto racing events, promoter Jim Morton is currently working with various promoters in an effort to bring other “family friendly” shows and events to the Wall Township stadium this season.
