NASCAR NEXTEL CUP STARS COME TO WALL TOWNSHIP SPEEDWAY
SATURDAY, AUGUST 4TH

Wall Twp., NJ - Ray Evernham's "Racing for a Reason" Foundation will be taking center stage at Wall Township Speedway, Saturday, August 4th. The NEXTEL Cup Stars will be headed by NEXTEL Cup multi-time champion crew chief and now winning car owner Ray Evernham. Drivers Kasey Kahne, Elliott Sadler, former NEXTEL Cup Champion Bill Elliott, and Evernham developmental driver Erin Crocker will all be appearing at Wall. Spectator Gates will open at 3PM sharp. The night will start with a meet and greet event for VIP ticket holders at 6PM. Immediately after there will be a 45 minute to an hour autograph session for the fans in the grandstand area, it will be first come, first serve for meeting with the drivers and getting autographs. All 5 drivers will also compete in a 20 lap match race in RMP Modified Affordable Division cars. In addition to the feature racing event there will be more Saturday night fun including a silent auction filled with NASCAR memorabilia. Event tickets are $40 dollars per ticket and part of the proceeds will go to Evernham's "Racing for a Reason" Foundation. The main beneficiary of the foundation is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a cause close to home for Evernham as his own son Ray J is a leukemia survivor. Ray Evernham also plans to compete in the 40 lap Whelen All American Series Modified feature, driving the Statusgreen 66 normally driven by former track champion Jimmy Blewett. You can purchase tickets ahead of time from the Wall Township Speedway track office this Saturday night July 28th on USG Night, or by calling 732-681-6400 from 10 AM till 5PM next Tuesday through the start of the event Saturday. Tickets are going fast, so act now!

They will not be the only NASCAR stars competing that night, as the Wall Township Speedway weekly divisions of the NASCAR Whelen All American Modifieds, Street Stocks, INEX Legends, and Value Towing Factory Stocks, will be competing in regularly scheduled events. The ATQMRA Three Quarter Midgets will also be in competition. Current division point leaders Kevin Flockhart (Modified), Rich Mongeau (Street Stocks), Mike Fulton (INEX Legends), and Vern McLaughlin III (Value Towing Factory Stocks) will be looking to continue their battles to win the coveted 2007 Track Championships in their respective divisions.

Wall Township Speedway hosts the NASCAR Whelen All American Series every Saturday Night from April to October. Gates open at 3PM, with qualifying starting at 6:30 PM Saturday, August 4th.
