WALL TWP., NJ -- This
Saturday night Wall Township Speedway will present Scott Motor Coach Sales
Night. Scott Motor Coach is the largest discount RV dealer in New Jersey
and will have recreation vehicles on display in the grandstand area. You
can visit their website at
www.scottmotorcoach.com
for more info. After weeks of many special events, Wall's regular competitors
will take the spotlight back this week. The NASCAR Whelen All-American Modifieds,
Street Stocks, Sportsman, RMP Modified Affordable Division cars, INEX Legends,
and Value Towing Factory Stocks will be in competition.
In the Modifieds, 2004
champ Kevin Flockhart holds a slim one point lead over young Steven Reed
who is hungry for his first Championship. Chas Okerson, Shaun Carrig, and
Mike Carpenter will be trying to gain ground on the point leaders since there
are only 9 weeks left to challenge for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series
Modified track title. The Modifieds will be competing in a 40 lap feature.
Multi time Street Stock
Champion Rich Mongeau holds a 10 point lead over Ron Frees. Defending track
champ Bill Vanderveen, John McCormack, and Ray Minieri all still are within
striking distance of Mongeau in this weeks 25 lap event.
Kevin Eyres and multi
time title holder Chas Okerson are trying to settle the Sportsman crown amongst
themselves, but Charlie Kremer III, Elliott Wohl, and Dave Green would love
to spoil their hopes this weeks 25 lap feature race.
The RMP Modified Affordable
Division championship is still up for grabs too, with defending champion
Danny Bohn holding a slim 7 point lead over Kevin Eyres. Robert Geibel, Kevin
Davison, and Scott Riggleman all still plan to fight it out this Saturday
for the point lead in their 25 lap event.
INEX Legends cars point
leader Mike Fulton holds a twelve point lead over Ronnie Poley. Dan Roslin,
Mark Tischler, Stephen Stull and Don Nuels all still have a chance at unseating
the points leader in that division in this weeks 25 lap feature event.
In the always popular
Value Towing Factory Stock division, Vern McLaughlin III holds the largest
lead of all six Wall divisions, with a 68 point lead. Nick Shaw, Danny Collamer,
Richard Petey and Joe Constandi are up for the challenge of chasing down
the point leader though this Saturday in a 20 lap feature.
If you are looking for
something to do Saturday night, why not come out and support local NASCAR
short track racing at the Jersey Shore. Wall Township Speedway hosts the

on a 1/3 mile highbanked oval. Wall has been hosting racing events at the
