SCOTT MOTOR COACH SALES PRESENTS SPORTSMAN 50 LAPPER AT WALL SATURDAY NIGHT

WALL TWP., NJ -- Wall Township Speedway will be celebrating Labor Day weekend starting at 6:30 pm Saturday with Scott Motor Coach Sales Night, highlighted by a 50 lap feature event for the WTS Sportsman division, NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Modifieds, Street Stocks, INEX Legends, and Value Towing Factory Stocks. Scott Motor Coach Sales in Lakewood, NJ is New Jersey's leading discount RV dealer. They will also be having a Recreational Vehicle Show in the grandstand area during the races, so you will be able to view some quality RV's, and some great racing at the Jersey Shore.

Kevin Eyres will be a marked man in the 50 lap feature for the Sportsman. Kevin has won 6 features in this division already this season. The others from the top five in points, Chas Okerson, Charlie Kremer III, Elliott Wohl, and Dave Green are still within striking distance for the Sportsman Crown. We'll see how much ground they can gain with this weeks race going twice the normal distance and paying double points for teams finishes.

In the Modified ranks, Steven Reed leads Kevin Flockhart by only 2 points going into this Saturday nights event. These two drivers have been trying to distance themselves from third place points man Chas Okerson, Shaun Carrig, and most recent winner, Mike Carpenter. It looks like the battle for the Modified track title may not be decided until the Season Finale on October 6th.

Multi-Time champ Rich Mongeau is the latest winner in the Street Stocks, and also the new point leader. Former champion Ron Frees is still a close second, followed by John McCormack, 2006 WTS champ Bill Vanderveen, and Ray Minieri.

In the popular INEX Legend Cars division, Mike Fulton will be trying to build on his lead over Dan Roslin, Ronnie Poley, Mark Tischler and Stephen Stull. The battle for the Legends championship is winding down with just 5 events left in the 2007 WTS points season.

Vern McLaughlin III is trying to run away and hide from the rest of the Value Towing Factory Stock field. The 4 time '07 winner has the largest points lead of all 6 Wall divisions. Vern currently holds 76 points over Nick Shaw, who is battling Richard Petey, Danny Collamer and Joe Constandi for a top five finish in the season long championship.

Current RMP Modified Affordable Division point leader Danny Bohn and the rest of the MAD teams will have this week off.

All 6 WTS weekly divisions will also have the September 8th weekend off, as Wall Township Speedway will host the Formula Drift - Professional Drifting Event on that Saturday starting at 12 noon. Visit www.formulad.com for more information.

If you are looking for some excitement this Labor Day weekend, why not come enjoy local NASCAR short track racing at the Jersey Shore. Wall Township Speedway hosts the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series every Saturday Night from April to October on a 1/3 mile high-banked oval. Wall has been hosting racing events at the Jersey Shore since 1950. Gates open at 4PM, with qualifying starting at 6:30 PM Saturday, September 1st.

Reduced prices are still in effect, only $14 dollars for an adult, $10 dollars for kids 13 to 17 and Seniors 65 and over, $6 dollars for children ages 6 to 12 and "Active" Military ID holders. Family discount is also available for two adult tickets at $14 dollars each, one child age 6-12 admitted free and children age 5 and under are always admitted free!
