Bohn used his handicapper-drawn pole position to head off initial challenger
Jason Treat the first six of the NASCAR Whelen All- American Series modified
main's 40 laps. Treat faded to an 11th place finish after colliding with
Mike Carpenter on lap 17, leaving second to Bohn's Bob Nelson Plumbing &
Heating Team mate Shaun Carrig in second. Bohn and his Nelson/Oceanside Service
No. 81 Troyer-Chevrolet pulled to a 1.153 sec. victory margin on Carrig,
who was holding off Steve Reed, Chas Okerson and Tom Farrell III in the late
laps. Evernham, aboard Jimmy Blewett's No. 66 StatusGreen.com Troyer-Chevy,
took eighth among nine finishers and 15 starters.
Evernham had a storybook

his Evernham Motorsports drivers. The seven-time WAAS modified main winner
came from last place to battle and oust Elliott Sadler on lap seven of the
20-lap contest. Evernham, aboard RMP MAD champion Eddie Bohn's Downs Ford
