WALL TWP., N.J. -- Michael Bohn, of Freehold, was officially declared winner of Nov. 24 Wall Township Speedway Turkey Derby XXXIV 100 for track modified stock cars by track officials Saturday. Bohn and car owner Bob Nelson posed with their Nelson Plumbing and Heating No. 81 Troyer-Chevrolet in WTS's victory lane during the banked, paved one-third-mile oval's inaugural swap meet and flea market Saturday. Bohn, a third-generation driver, had won his first career Wall NASCAR Whelen All-American Series modified main earlier this season. A review of scoring accounts found that first finisher Justin Gumley, of Colts Neck, had actually finished fifth and as the last driver finishing on the lead lap.
The revised top five, after 100 laps, are: MICHAEL BOHN, Freehold; Rowan Pennick, Rob Schultz, Bob Boardwick and Justin Gumley. Late race leader Ken Woolley, Jr. is now sixth of eight finishers.
James Civali, of Meridan, Conn., remains the winner of the 100- lap Open Tour-Type modified race.
