AND WALLS WIN NEETS ENDURO RACES AT WALL STADIUM

TOWNSHIP, N.J. ~ Former Wall Stadium factory stock driving champion
Rob Longo returned to the shore speedway on Saturday night (August 22)
to win the 100-lap Big Car race for the NEETS Enduro Series.

Longo
was chased across the finish line by Richard Petey, Flex Ciattarelli,
Tim O'Shea and Howy Bolt who completed the top five. Mark Flores, Mike
Parisi, Anthony Bell, Steven Weber and Vern McLaughlin were sixth
through tenth.

Jeff
Walls stood tall in the winner’s circle after the companion 50-lap
race for the Small Cars was completed. Dave Bently, Jr, Vern
McLaughlin, Mellissa Sims and John Saccomondi were second through
fifth.

Former
Sunday Series racing standout Danielle Ostrander proved to all that
she has lost none of her talent as she won the 25-lap Ladies Enduro
event. Marich
Lawrence was the runner-up, while M. Sims, Tracy Burger-Carman and
Ruth Schultz completed the top five.

The
25-lapper for the INEX Legend Cars was a thriller from start to finish
with Mike Alcaro taking the win over Mark Tischler, Roger Coss, Don
Neuls and Malcolm Campbell. Trevor Alspach, Mike Stull, Derek
Hopkinson, Brian Spencer, and Francis Cottrell were sixth through
tenth.

Jackson won the main event for the 4C SuperModifieds.
Drivers
in the always exciting Calabreeze Pools Sportsman division will be in
the spotlight Saturday night (Aug. 29) as they battle in a 50-lap
championship race at Wall Stadium. In addition to the Sportsman
50-lapper, “Nick Roslin Memorial Night” will also feature the Red
Bank Sleep Shoppe Modifieds in a 40-lap feature, the Street Stocks and
the INEX Legend Cars in 25-lappers and the Flanagan Retail Development
Factory Stocks in a 20-lap feature race.
The
day will start at high noon when competitor gates open, while a two
hour paid practice session will begin at 1:00 p.m. The day’s
regularly scheduled practice will run from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.,
while spectator seating opens at 4:00 p.m. Qualifying for all
divisions, which will include time trails for the Sportsman cars,
begins at 6:00 p.m. with main event racing starting at 7:30 p.m.
Once
the “Nick Roslin Memorial” is in the record books, Wall Stadium
will wrap up the regular season on Saturday night, September 5, with
“Fan Appreciation Night.”
When
regular season action is complete, all attention will turn to
post-season events which will include the “Tommy Comerford
Memorial” on Saturday, October 24, and the annual “Turkey Derby”
on Thanksgiving weekend.

Stadium is located on Route 34 in Wall Township, N.J., just one mile
north of Garden State Parkway exit 98 and Interstate 195 exit 35B. The
speedway office is open from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday
through Friday and all day Saturday during events. The speedway
